Ha. Flash will NEVER happen. What’s in it for Apple? Developers would stop making apps for the app store that apple takes 30% of sales from to make flash based stuff on the internet that they can keep 100% of.

Now, thanks to this crappy app that we are being force fed with, I have 9 of my car apps in the “Car” folder and two that I am forced to keep in the “Newsstand” app. I AM NOT HAPPY about being forced to do this.  It’s bad enough I had nightmarish problems getting the update to install properly (I spent over 5 hours today d**king around with things).  Thanks Apple.

Now that SJ is gone, maybe they can finally give us flash capability.

I moved it to a folder, but after I plugged it into my compter it moved out of the folder again.

It makes my OCD brain want to smash my phone against a wall. Repeatedly.

I can see the newsstand snafu being fixed with a 5.1 update soon, but it’s the sort of thing that shouldn’t have been overlooked.  It’s bad enough that we have to put up with the apps we don’t want!  Once again, those who play by the rules (don’t jailbreak, use real account information etc.)  are not the ones who are rewarded.  Apple has a real opportunity to foster an open-source like environment while still maintaining dominance and it’s increasingly going the route of Microsoft in the 90’s.  A final word about the music app.  Why can’t we choose from multiple layouts and themes instead of being forced to use only one.  It really isnt that difficult.

I’m pretty sure that specific magazines need to add Newsstand support, and apparently the folks at The Economist have “opted-out”:
