Google seems to be losing some of its "Democratic" values inasmuch as it doesn't believe is giving users a Choice. Same goes for Microsoft (XP and Office (esp Excel) 2003 are WAY more productive for the professional). Seems like they have adopted a variant of the Billy Crystal philosophy "Better to look good than to feel good". That may work for clothes and makeup, but not for tools.
