So, you’re composing an email on your iPhone and you decide that you’d rather CC your boss than put her name in the “To” field—or, even better, you want to put her name first in the “CC” line.
Well, you could always select her name, delete it with the backspace key, then retype it where you want it to appear.
Indeed, that’s how I was doing it until a few days ago, when my iPhone-savvy wife pointed out a much easier way.
Just tap and hold and name, then drag it in any recipient field you want, or move it back and forth within the “To,” “CC,” or “BCC” fields.
Easy, yet somehow easy to miss—or at least, it was for me.
Note: This tip will also work on the iPad or iPod Touch.
Bonus tip
Want to pick the names of mail recipients from your address book? Tap the blue “+” button on the right side of the screen to call up your list of contacts, then tap the name you’d like to add.
