Might be worth having a look at whether AppleScript can trigger a boot sequence from an AppleEvent: I know you can use it to shut down a Mac from a script. I have a distant memory that some old world Macs could do this particular trick with a bit of scripting: it might even have been used in a TV ad for one of the Performa line in the days when 8.6 was the best you could get.

Alternatively, you could get out of bed, walk over & hit the power button! Or just leave it in Sleep mode!

Is there any way to start it up at a different time for different days? ie 9am on tuesdays and thursdays and 12pm on fridays?
