Because OLED (short for “organic light-emitting diodes”) displays don’t require backlighting, they’re not only thinner than competing LCD TVs, they’re also immune to the washed-out images that plague many big-screen TV sets.
In other words, if you’ve been saving your pennies for the perfect TV, it might be time to crack your piggy bank.
