Agreed; a full-fledged “Roku vs. Apple TV” post is in order. Will probably wait until Apple releases iOS 5, which adds Airplay “mirroring” for the iPad 2—meaning you’ll be able to view your iPad’s screen on your Apple TV-connected set without an HDMI cable. Stay tuned.

Looks like AppleTV supports MLB and NBA, but i think you didn’t mention the ability of Apple TV to connect to your computer, iphone, ipad and ipod. It also looks like you can browse the internet, etc, everything you can do on the ipad, etc. The lack of 1080p is an issue for me, but those things I mentioned as enhancements are also important. Roku/Hulu look like a good combo, but not really sure how to weigh everything… I think a more thorough article charting the pros/cons would of been helpful. cheers and thanks for the insight.
