I’d also love to see some use of 3D interfaces and/or apps with 3D interfaces to help manage items on the display better.  3D zoom effects and layered menu options would be cool.  Plus with all of the cool multi-axis sensors in smartphones today, you could actually tilt your phone to “look around” 3D objects!

I think every phone should have 3D since 3D phones usually have a button to quickly toggle the effect on or off.

And yes, I own a 3D phone (LG Optimus 3D/Thrill 4G which I think is better OVERALL than the EVO 3D, even though the EVO 3D has a few better things about it).

Judging from the fact that it has a dual-core processor and 4G, I think that it
has the performance to back up its sleek look. Both of these should make the
downloading and streaming easy for the phone. I am a huge movie streamer, and I
think the Thrill would do great if I got one. I use the DISH Remote Access app
for all my streaming needs. I love this app because it lets me stream live TV
and recorded shows from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver to my phone anywhere I am
in clear HD! Whether I am on my way to school, or in another country, I can
watch any show I subscribe to. As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I
have been using the app for a long time, and I know it will work wonders on the
LG Thrill!

Hi Tug — thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you’re enjoying the Thrill. It’s definitely one heck of a peppy phone, and yes indeed — 1080p video recording. Nice.

As far as the 3D goes, it’s all in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I wasn’t thrilled (sorry for the pun) with the glasses-free 3D image, but at the end of the day, it’s what *you* think that matters — you’re the one who has to live with the phone, after all.

Anyway, best of luck, and let us know if you have more thoughts about the Thrill moving ahead. Cheers!

You also forgot to mention the phone takes video in 1080p as well and not just 720p**

But, in your defence, I said the same thing when I first looked at the 3d on the phone. The 3d menu itself looks fuzzy.. But, watch a few hi-def video clips with the 3d function on, and it looks amazing. It just depends on what you are looking at and its quality. The phone ships with a few video clips in the 3d gallery. Watch a few of them, it brings out the 3d quality.

You also forgot to mention the phone takes video in 1080p as well and just 720p.. Not to mention, the phone is stupid fast. Have yet to encounter any lag on it. I love it.
