Apple App Store said to hit 500,000 apps

That’s an unofficial number, mind you (Apple is only saying “over 350,000” for now), but still—impressive. Nipping at the Apple’s heels: Google’s Android Market, which in March had an estimated 250,000 apps and (rapidly) climbing.
